After Enjoying Your Program For 9 Months I Have Wondered Why I Never Knew These Things Before?  Your Attention To Foundation, Posture And Rotation Are The Basics Of A Good Golf Swing And Should Be Shared With Every Golfer-Or Beginner.  Your Knowledge Of Methods To Enhance The Appropriate Musculature Coupled With Muscle Activation Therapy Has Allowed Me  More Free Movement And Has Given Me An Overall Tone Which Has Made Me Feel Better, Golf Or Not.

I Can Highly Recommend Your Program For Both Golfers And Non -Golfers As Well.  Also It Is Good That You Offer Yoga Because I Wish That I Had Known About Yoga 30 Yrs Prior!

To begin with, I would have to say that without Bobby's training, I would not have the ability to play an entire round of golf pain free.

Before starting my training with Bobby in January 2007, I suffered from severe back pain and was unable to play 18 holes of golf without having pain in my back and being extremely stiff in my limbs.  Now, not only can I finish 18 holes pain free, I can go and practice for several hour's with virtually little or no pain.  The training regimen has been great and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their mobility, strengthen their back muscles and improve their game.

In October of 2006 I was referred to Align Performance by my instructor Pat O'Brien. We had reached a level where my game was not going to improve as rapidly unless I began working more on core strength, balance and flexibility. Six months ago I was referred to Align Performance to help my daughter develop her strength after a teenage growth spurt.  At the time as I was watching Bobby do his assessment, I had to repeatedly stand up or sit down due to back pain from 3 bad disks in my lower spine.  As I enrolled my daughter I committed to sharing her program to see if I could regain movement.  Reducing pain was not a thought at the time.

Following one MAT treatment by Robin and one exercise session with Bobby I was surprised at my ability to move again and have some short periods pain free.  It certainly allowed me to sit, stand or lie down for longer periods without alternating these positions due to pain.  I can not say enough regarding the results of MAT in activating muscles that no longer worked caused by another problem, a compressed spine due to stenosis of the spine.  Muscles have atrophied and I could not activate my abdominal muscles to do a proper sit up.  I CAN NOW.

Walking was another activity that was painful and I avoided due to arthritis in my feet.  Bobby instructed me in a simple resolution that increased circulation, and decreased swelling, and pain.  I slowly reduced the swelling from arthritis and with MAT restored the proper function to my feet allowing more movement and vastly reducing the pain of walking.

At the time I started with Bobby and Robin I was thinking, this is no way to live, not able to do anything and all I was about was enduring pain.  In the last six months, I have returned to a normal life.  After three months I was able to spend four hours at a time doing physical labor such as landscaping our yard.  I can move more athletically again and pain free for extended periods.  The ability to strengthen my core muscles and stabilize my spine has returned quality of life.  This week I walked for the first time in six years, 18 holes of golf as a spectator, watching my daughter play two rounds at the Callaway Junior World Championship in San Diego , California .

NEXT GOAL:  Swing a golf club again, even if I lose to my daughter.

Just a quick note to say how grateful I am (I might also mention my wife, kids and friends) for putting me on the path to "back health" and a pain free life. As you know, over the last 6 years I have recorded no more than 10 complete rounds of golf due to severe back pain. After the last round (actually I only played 4 holes) that I tried to play 3 months ago, it was all I could do to just walk to the car to go home after being taken to the ground in excruciating pain by simply swinging the golf club.

After just 12 sessions with you, I feel like I've been re-born. When I started with you, my expectations were fairly small. I'd just like to walk upright again, get in and out of my car without pain, go out to dinner and be able to sit for an hour. But I have gotten so much more.

I was  a scratch golfer in my teens, and I thought at age 56 my longest drives were behind me. But thanks to you, I have never been longer off the tee than I am now. My expectations are definitely on the rise

In the first three months during which I attended regular sessions, two or three times weekly, at Align Performance, I discovered that my lingering lower back pain of some ten years was disappearing. Even when I  missed sessions for a month or so, the pain did not reoccur ... and when the training resumed, the relief was even more noticeable. In addition, Bobby introduced me to several breathing techniques which I never would have associated with a regular exercise regimen. Through repeated practice and use, I have been able to sleep better and lower my anxiety and discomfort on long cross-country and international flights. All of this was a bonus as my basic mission with the training was to develop a reliable, repeatable and effective golf swing. A reasonably good player in my youth, I had nevertheless never been taught to focus on developing and using the larger, core muscles in developing my golf swing. As these muscle groups have been awakened, I find my swing and energy on the course to be much better than at any time previously. Starting with the basics of neutral body alignment, Bobby and his staff have developed a first rate training regimen which has certainly benefited both my golf  and my life in general. This training is an absolute MUST for anyone serious about getting and staying in top condition ... on or off the golf course!

It is a pleasure to tell my story. Last September, after a round of golf at Cowboys Golf Club I pinched a nerve in my back and literally could not walk. After muscle relaxers, Medical doctors specializing in backs, and Chiropractors all of which were doing some good, I found Align Performance. After a two year training program in taekwondo, I started working with Booby Lane and the difference has been significant. I was a strong hitter but Very inconsistent in scoring.
